Jining highlights culture, tourism industries

Jining in East China's Shandong province has been focusing on the development of its culture and tourism industries, with the aim of achieving high-quality comprehensive growth.
The city's 13 cultural and tourism projects, which have 22.01 billion yuan ($3.37 billion) in investment, have been included as this year's major programs. Three of the projects have an investment of more than 3 billion yuan.
The projects, centering on Jining's Confucian and the Grand Canal culture, feature a number of novel concepts, such as fitness, technology, research, and creative products. They will turn the city's rich cultural resources into drivers of economic development, provide abundant diverse cultural products, help cultivate a group of leading companies in the cultural and tourism industries, as well as upgrade the industrial structure of the two sectors.
The 13 projects are located in seven districts of Jining, including Qufu county, Weishan county, as well as Taibai Lake new area, and are carried out by top domestic cultural enterprises like Lingshan Group, Overseas Chinese Town, and Fantawild.
