Jining welcomes six new foreign-funded projects
Jining in East China's Shandong province has welcomed six new foreign-funded projects, valued at $720 million in total, local media outlets reported.
Representatives of the six projects inked their agreements at a signing ceremony that was held via a video link on March 18, which comprised of several sessions in the prefecture-level cities in Shandong.
Liu Jiayi, Party chief of Shandong, said at the ceremony that the government will continue to improve its business environment and administrative services for foreign investors in order for the projects to be able to start construction and operation as soon as possible.
The six projects consist of a semi-conductor and carbon-based new materials production base, an intelligent e-commerce industrial park, a flying robot production base, a high efficiency supercritical generators project, a biomass gasification project, as well as a high-end medical project, according to Yu Yongsheng, acting mayor of Jining.
The projects, with a total of $320 million in foreign investment, are involved in sectors including new information technology, high-end equipment, new materials, and modern logistics, Yu added.
