After months of careful preparation, Dongying Art Museum – located in Dongying city in East China's Shandong province – is to present an exhibition that offers a very special aesthetic experience, where cultural relics meet cutting-edge technology.
The exhibition will feature more than 80 excavated artifacts and over 2,000 specimens from Dongying, brought to life through interactive technologies that transform traditional static displays into dynamic cultural expositions.
It will highlight the richness of local heritage while embracing modern methods of presentation that are social, accessible and immersive.
Along with the relics, the exhibition will show the latest innovations from over 50 renowned artists and leading enterprises.
The interdisciplinary collaboration offers a fresh interpretation of Yellow River culture – blending history, technology and contemporary art.
A key highlight is a 200-square-meter immersive VR zone, open during the May Day holiday. Visitors can explore virtual experiences, offering a vivid sense of time travel between ancient civilizations and the distant future.
