Dongying city – located in East China's Shandong province – has launched targeted initiatives to expand its talent pool and attract top-tier professionals, in the wider pursuit of economic growth.
The initiative seeks to boost the city's high-level talent service system through a multi-faceted approach, attracting top personnel to key industrial supply chains and driving business growth and industry development.
Dongying has made a dynamic modification of its "elite talent card" – which serves as a credential for high-level people to access various priority services at all levels.
Direct issuance of the card will be extended to recipients of provincial postdoctoral research grants, national or provincial science and technology awards and relevant postdoctoral competition prizes – further expanding the reach of high-level talent support.
To provide key business enterprises with greater autonomy in their recruitment drives and to enhance the targeted service mechanism for industry-specific talent, the elite talent card will be issued to high-level professionals recognized by these companies, paving the way for the hiring recruitment of urgently needed staff.
In addition, Dongying is dedicated to enhancing its services and support. It's strengthening its mechanism for local government leaders to engage with high-level talent, improving communications and addressing the challenges these people face in both their professional and personal lives.
By focusing on talent-driven collaborative innovation in the Yellow River Basin, Dongying is developing a service system based on regional cooperation and resource sharing.
