Dongying city – located in East China's Shandong province – is set to host a Lyu Opera event in the city's Lyu Opera Museum to celebrate Spring Festival.
Organized by the Dongying Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, it aims to promote the city's intangible cultural heritage and offer visitors a wonderful experience in the rich world of Lyu Opera.
Daily performances will be held on Feb 3-11, offering a special opportunity for music enthusiasts to experience the joyful atmosphere of Spring Festival through the world of opera.
In addition to the enchanting performances, the museum will feature traditional interactive games such as touhu – an ancient game in which contestants throw arrows into wine pitchers – and hopscotch, with great cultural and creative gifts randomly given to participants.
Visitors can also enjoy a special opportunity to select their favorite Lyu Opera characters and receive a professional makeup and costume design by opera inheritors. They can then learn the gestures and movements of the opera, fully immersing themselves in its charm.
With performances, games, photo opportunities and hands-on opera experiences, the event promises to add a special touch to the Spring Festival celebrations, creating lasting memories.
