This year, Dongying city in East China's Shandong province has responded to public demands to improve its mobile certification services.
The city has promoted the digitization of certification processes, enabling residents to handle applications online and achieve an "errand-free" experience.
Dongying has streamlined the application, document submission, review, stamping, and issuance processes for 21 types of certifications, including housing lease registrations, low-income certificates, criminal record clearances, proof of relationships, and cancellations due to death. By designing electronic templates and clarifying necessary information, the city simplifies the online application workflow.
Using the mobile version of the "Love Shandong" government service platform, Dongying has transitioning the entire certification process online with its "Certification Express" app. Advanced technologies, such as facial verification, ensure the security of residents' personal information. Residents can fill out forms and upload documents online, while staff review applications and issue electronic certificates. A centralized query portal allows residents to view and download their certificates quickly and track the progress of their applications.
To date, the total number of processed applications has surpassed 140,000, providing its residents with tangible benefits from the city's digital governing initiatives.
