A delegation from Egypt including a senior official from Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the minister plenipotentiary, the Egyptian embassy in Beijing, and the CEO of Egyptian Satellite Group visited Dongying in East Shandong province from Oct 10 to 11 to discuss trade and their economies.
Officials of Dongying presented the city's cultural and tourism resources, industrial strengths, and ecological advantages to express their intention in collaborating with Egypt in areas like tourism, manufacturing, and trade.
The delegation visited five local companies: Shandong Yongsheng Rubber Group Co Ltd, Shandong Xinyi Auto Parts Manufacturing Co Ltd, Xingyuan Tires Group, Shandong Huasheng Rubber Group, and Shandong Huateng Machinery Manufacturing Co Ltd. Discussions focused on potential cooperation in trade, investment, technology transfer, and technical support. Both sides reached a consensus on establishing economic and trade partnerships in the tire and auto parts industries.
The visit marked an important step in strengthening ties between Dongying and Egypt, which could open doors for deeper collaboration in various sectors. Both sides expressed optimism about future partnerships, laying a strong foundation for continued economic exchange and mutual growth.
