In addition to its enchanting natural beauty, Dongying city – situated in East China's Shandong province – is also the birthplace of Lyu Opera, one of eight major opera styles in China.
To better protect and promote this intangible cultural heritage, Dongying has duly established a comprehensive cultural landscape with Lyu Opera themes.
Located in Dongying district, the Dongying City Lyu Opera Museum is home to a diverse exhibition hall dedicated to Lyu Opera – featuring professional performances, training sessions, character experience classes and educational courses, among other diversions. It's quite simply a must-see destination for anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Lyu Opera.

On weekends, fans can be seen perfecting their craft, with the beautiful melodies of Lyu Opera creating a lively artistic atmosphere that resonates throughout the park.

The Shi Dianyuan Memorial Hall is also worth a visit, as the founder of the Lyu Opera – Shi Dianyuan – has been mentioned in entries of the Encyclopedia of China.
