The Guangrao Sun Wu Lake Half Marathon and the Yellow River Estuary (Dongying) Marathon warm-up event kicked off to great fanfare at the North Square of Le'an Park in Guangrao county, Dongying.

The event featured two categories: a half marathon and a mini marathon, bringing together over 2,000 runners to celebrate this unique fusion of sports and ecology.

In the end, Yin Zhicheng from Binzhou secured the men's championship with a time of 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 41 seconds, while Sun Xiaohui from Tai'an claimed the women's title with a time of 1 hour, 22 minutes, and 41 seconds.

The racecourse stretched approximately 21 kilometers through central urban areas, connecting several city parks such as Le'an Park, Wucun Ruins Park, and Sun Tzu Cultural Park. With its flat and spacious layout set against stunning scenery, the course blended modern urban life with nature, providing participants with a unique running experience that allowed them to enjoy the great outdoors at the same time.

To improve the experiences of participants, the organizing committee established multiple aid stations along the route, offering plenty of drinking water, energy drinks, and snacks. A professional medical team and dedicated volunteers were also present to provide timely assistance, maintain order on the course, and support the runners throughout the event.

The success of this half marathon reflects Guangrao county's strong commitment to promoting sports among the public. In recent years, the county has actively implemented strategies to improve public fitness and health, focusing on enhancing residents' well-being through increased investment and improved services, leading to significant advancements in community sports, competitive athletics, and the sports industry.
