Dongying city in East China's Shandong province held a celebration in the paddy fields landscape area of Kenli district on Sept 22 to mark the 7th Chinese Farmers Harvest Festival.
The event showcased the city's agricultural achievements – promoting a broader awareness of agriculture, its rural areas and farmers while helping to driving rural vitalization forwards.
Farmers and agricultural enterprises at the event not only felt the satisfaction of a good autumn harvest, but also celebrated the results of years of hard work.
The event saw the announcement of Dongying's 18th batch of key leading agricultural enterprises and the 2024 list of premium agricultural products from saline-alkaline land.
The festival also featured some lively and vibrant entertainment, allowing participants to share in the harvest celebrations.
A market-style exhibition platform showcased Dongying's top agricultural products – facilitating sales, exhibitions and collaborations – boosting personal exchanges between farmers and visitors.
In recent years, Dongying has made agriculture its top priority, focusing on integrating the primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
By promoting the special advantages of its saline-alkaline land, cultivating leading enterprises and developing brands, the city has advanced its agricultural supply chain – bringing prosperity to farmers and enriching overall rural life.
