The 2024 Yellow River Estuary (Guangrao) Sun Tzu Cultural Forum kicked off in Guangrao county, Dongying, East China's Shandong province on Sept 10. Guangrao county is also the birthplace of Sun Tzu, a great military strategist during the Spring and Autumn period (770-476 BC).
The forum will feature an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, and discussion sessions. Additionally, two parallel sessions will be organized with the themes of "The Art of War and Business Management" and "The Art of War and Life Wisdom", respectively.
Representatives from research institutions such as the China Research Society of Sun Tzu's Art of War, the China Pre-Qin History Society, and the Sun Tzu Research Association of Shandong, along with experts and scholars from related fields both domestically and internationally, engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on Sun Tzu culture.
During the keynote session, participants exchanged ideas and insights before reaching a consensus. They collectively agreed that The Art of War is more than an ancient military text; its strategic thinking, management wisdom, and life philosophy offer profound guidance in various aspects of modern society.
The successful hosting of the Sun Tzu Cultural Forum not only provided scholars with a platform for in-depth exchange and discussion, but also injected new vitality into the modern preservation and development of Sun Tzu culture. Moving forward, Sun Tzu culture will continue to guide the advancement of modern civilization with its timeless lessons and enduring value.
