Dongying's summer travel season wraps up smoothly

The 62-day summer travel rush concluded on Aug 31. This year, there was a strong desire for travel among passengers in Dongying, East China's Shandong province, particularly with notable increases in student and tourist traffic.

Throughout the summer travel rush, the expressway network operated at full capacity. Self-guided tours saw a notable uptick, reflecting a shift towards personalized consumption, along with a steady increase in the adoption of new energy vehicles. City departments enhanced the provision of top-notch personalized tourism services. Every endeavor was made to guarantee the safety and stability of the summer passenger transport market, ensuring seamless travel experiences for passengers.

From July 1 to Aug 31, Dongying Airport serviced a total of 1,764 transport flights, accommodating 220,000 passengers. The airport averaged 3,550 passengers per day, which reached a peak of 4,096 passengers on its busiest day and set new monthly and daily records for the year.

Dongying Airport remains attuned to the needs of the leisure vacation and family markets, actively monitoring shifts in passenger flow, strategically planning its route network, and adeptly meeting the demands of the peak summer travel season.
