The Dongjin Yellow River Bridge, the largest A-shaped cable-stayed bridge in Dongying's Yellow River Delta, was successfully completed on Aug 25.
At 1,607 meters long with a main span of 420 meters across the Yellow River, the bridge makes use of sophisticated technologies. An advanced monitoring and measurement system helped adjust 32 pairs of stay cables and 77 segments of the cantilever installation and achieve zero error in the main beam alignment.
The project also received the Green Team Award in Shandong's inaugural Protect the Mother River Action due to its specialized green scheme for soil and water conservation along the river.
Once operational, the Dongjin Yellow River Bridge will aid traffic flow between the Yellow River Delta region and the national expressway network. It will optimize the transportation layout, reduce traffic congestion, and play a crucial role in promoting regional development. The project aims to advance ecological protection in the Yellow River Basin and foster high-quality growth.
