This first 220kV optical fiber composite submarine cable is 35 kilometers long and weighs nearly 5,000 tons. It will provide a crucial energy transmission solution for the offshore wind power project in Zhuanghe city, Dalian province, marking a significant step forward for the Dongying Comprehensive Bonded Zone in its strategic development of the maritime economy.

Guided by the dual carbon goals, the offshore wind power industry is entering a new era of large-scale and rapid development. Wanda Cable Group, located in the Dongying Comprehensive Bonded Zone, is one of the few domestic submarine cable companies with complete performance qualifications.

It has introduced cutting-edge production equipment and technology from around the world and is equipped with top-notch production and testing facilities. Its product range includes submarine cables, power cables, and mining cables. The company has independently developed products with voltage ratings of 220kV, 110kV, 132kV, 66kV, and 35kV, and also has a dedicated cable-loading dock that can operate around the clock.

The delivery of this 220kV optical fiber composite submarine cable not only represents a technological breakthrough in submarine cable manufacturing but also reflects a significant enhancement of new production capabilities.
