The museum, spanning 3,000 square meters, is divided into four main exhibition areas: the Yellow River Symbiosis Hall, the Migratory Birds Station Resonance Hall, the Bird Kingdom Exploration Hall, and the Bird Paradise Sharing Hall. With over 1,200 specimens of various rare birds, it has become an iconic venue showcasing ecological achievements and the harmonious coexistence of humans, birds, and nature.
The Yellow River Symbiosis Hall vividly showcases the development of the Yellow River Delta through multimedia displays. Visitors can explore recent changes in the delta by turning the knobs on the interactive table at the hall's center. This exhibition also highlights the importance of wetlands in maintaining ecological balance, protecting biodiversity, and supporting ecosystem research.
In the Migratory Birds Station Resonance Hall, visitors can get an overview of bird migration patterns, and advanced VR technology offers a virtual tour of stunning wetland scenery. An interactive installation adds to the experience, with birds seeming to fly across the screen as visitors walk by, creating the immersive sensation of soaring alongside them.
The Bird Kingdom Exploration Hall offers a detailed view of birds' role in Earth's biological evolution. This exhibit features a number of species from around the world, showcasing the diversity and splendor of the avian family. Visitors can also use birdwatching scopes to observe wild birds directly and compare their findings with the bird guide on display to identify the species they see.
Upon entering the Bird Paradise Sharing Hall, visitors are welcomed by a large model of a dodo bird. The dodo's extinction, which occurred within 200 years of its discovery by humans, underscores the growing negative impact of human activities on Earth's ecosystems.
