Dongying delegation visits Australia and Singapore

From July 6 to 13, the Dongying delegation led by Yang Guoqiang, Party secretary of Dongying, visited Australia and Singapore for inspection.

In Australia, the delegation visited Logan city. Yang Guoqiang and Jon Raven, mayor of Logan, reached consensus on deepening the friendship between the two sides and promoting pragmatic cooperation in industry, economy, trade, tourism, education and more. Yang noted that the two sides will further strengthen communication and exchange, deepen relations, and promote complementary advantages and mutual benefits.

During the visit, the delegation contacted and communicated with the heads of the Australia Queensland Shandong Association and visited Chinese-funded enterprises such as China Construction Bank Sydney Branch and Yancoal Australia. All these efforts were made to advance industrial cooperation with Australia driven by favorable overseas platforms. The delegation also had in-depth exchanges with the University of Sydney, the University of Queensland, and Symbio Group in Australia.

In Singapore, the delegation visited Surbana Jurong Group, took a field trip to Jurong Island Chemical Park, a world-class refining and chemical base in Singapore, and had in-depth discussions on cooperation in petrochemical industry and traditional energy transformation, renewable energy development, and the planning and construction of zero-carbon industrial parks.

The delegation also visited the International Enterprise Singapore, reaching tentative cooperation agreements with relevant responsible persons on energy structure optimization, introduction of emerging industries, and green and low-carbon development.

During the visit, the delegation organized a series of investment promotion activities, witnessed the signing of a 5-million-cubic-meter oil storage project between Yatong Petrochemical Group and Singapore WorldCom Resources, discussed and promoted the new green and low-carbon polymer material project, and talked with the heads of Dongying-based enterprises and branches in Singapore, vigorously deepening and expanding cooperation with Singapore in such fields as energy, chemical industry, trade and logistics, and injecting new impetus into the development of the two sides.

During the visit, the delegation paid visits to the Chinese Ambassador to Singapore and Consulate-General of China in Melbourne, thanking them for their support. The delegation hopes that the embassy and consulate will continue to leverage greater support and help to Dongying in cooperating with Singapore and Australia in various fields for mutual benefits and win-win development.
