Dongying drives innovation by supporting talent

Dongying in East China's Shandong province has been actively promoting innovation-driven development with a focus on talent. It has been proactively attracting professionals to aid in its industrial development and has launched a comprehensive plan to bring in top-tier leading talent to steer the city's development.

This initiative aims to bolster the economy by vigorously recruiting and nurturing critically needed top talents, technology leaders, and high-level innovative teams, thus accelerating Dongying's transition int a hub for talent aggregation in the Yellow River Delta region.

In 2024, Dongying plans to recruit 100 doctoral professionals, 1,000 master's degree holders, and 31,000 undergraduates, while also aiming to train 21,000 highly-skilled professionals.

In addition to attracting talent to work locally, Dongying has been actively addressing industry-specific technical challenges by proactively engaging with top domestic and international scientific teams possessing core technologies. This collaborative effort has assisted local enterprises in overcoming technical barriers.

It is fully committed to creating an innovation platform that aligns with technological innovation and industrial development.

As talent converges at an accelerated pace, technology-oriented enterprises and emerging industries in Dongying are rapidly expanding, with the digital economy making swift breakthroughs and the new materials industry rapidly maturing, while a complete industrial chain for offshore wind power equipment manufacturing takes shape.

Dongying's proactive measures in talent introduction and innovation-driven development are not only reshaping the local industrial landscape but also positioning the city as a hub for technological advancement and economic growth in the region.
