On July 23, Shandong University of Science and Technology held a signing ceremony for its high-end equipment industry innovation research institute project in the the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Qingdao FTZ).
The project will establish three major platforms for new products: a research and development platform, a pilot production platform, and a testing platform. Additionally, all results will be transferred to enterprises based in the Qingdao FTZ. The project aims to generate over 35 applications and more than 175 intellectual property applications and attract at least two Taishan Scholars or equivalent talents.
This project represents a major step forward in applying academic research practically within the zone. It will leverage the university's technological and talent strengths to boost innovation, support local industries, and foster talent development.
Alongside the platforms, the project will also focus on research application, talent training, technical training, and consulting services, harnessing the zone's industrial and institutional advantages to open new cooperation avenues and energize regional development.
