Shandong is propelling its cultural industry forward through digital technology, fostering new kinds of business. The region has been leveraging advanced technologies to blend culture and science, enhancing the quality of cultural products and experiences.

In the film sector, major productions like The Wandering Earth 2 and Creation of the Gods II were created at the Qingdao-based China Movie Metropolis, utilizing cutting-edge tools such as facial capture and virtual filming systems. This has not only elevated visual effects but also positioned Shandong as a hub for high-tech filmmaking.

Cultural experiences are also being transformed. For example, an extended reality art experience hall in Qingdao uses XR to immerse visitors in Van Gogh's art. Similarly, interactive digital picture books developed by Qingdao Publishing Group engage children through touch and animation, making learning more enjoyable.

Shandong is also enhancing its cultural tourism. Projects like the "Meeting Sea along the Yellow River" digital display offer immersive experiences through virtual tours, while cultural relics in places like Mount Tai are being digitized into collectible digital assets, creating new forms of cultural consumption.

The province has implemented policies to support cultural and technological integration, establishing labs and innovation zones. It aims to continuously integrate digital technologies such as big data and AI into cultural industries, driving sustainable development and enriching people's spiritual lives.
