Weihai welcomes intl delegation for ethnic work exchange

A delegation of 33 officials and scholars from seven countries, including Vietnam, Gambia, and Cuba, visited Weihai, Shandong province, from Oct 17 to 20, to exchange experiences on ethnic-related work.

During their stay in Weihai, the delegation visited the Weihai city planning exhibition hall, Dishang Group, Weihai Art School of Shandong, and Hanlefang community, providing them with a comprehensive understanding of the city's history, culture, urban development achievements, and development of ethnic-related work.

On Oct 19, a dialogue session of the Seminar on Ethnic Policy and Practice for Developing Countries was held, during which relevant departments in Weihai introduced the city's overall economic development and their respective work in ethnic affairs.

Officials and scholars from the seven countries expressed their appreciation for the rich and diverse activities arranged for their visit and acknowledged the valuable insights gained from Weihai's ethnic-related practices.

They said they believed that the exchange would promote mutual learning and understanding among different ethnic groups, deepen friendship, and foster cooperation in trade, culture, and other areas.
