Dialogue on Joint Climate Response to be held in Shandong

Print Print2024 China-Pacific Island Countries Cooperation and Exchange Conference and Dialogue on Joint Climate Response will be held in Liaocheng, Shandong from Oct 18 to 20.
More than 300 representatives from cities connected with Liaocheng, international partner organizations, and individuals will come from 17 countries including Japan, South Korea, Russia, Serbia, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, and Nauru to the event.
Participants from both China and abroad to engage in deep interactive exchanges, foster a range of cooperation achievements in green development, and better serve the city's high-level opening-up to the outside world.
During the event, Liaocheng will conduct deep exchanges with Pacific island countries in fields such as cultural tourism, education, sports, sister-city cooperation, and public welfare assistance to achieve cooperation results and propose cooperation initiatives.
This conference aims to facilitate exchanges and sign cooperative agreements across industry, agriculture, economy, trade, culture, tourism, education, and media. The event will fully explore the resource advantages of sister cities and establish an open, inclusive, friendly, and practical international sister city cooperation platform.
Additionally, activities include a look at the past and future of China-Solomon Islands relations, a Kiribati Youth Ambassador Cultural Exchange Camp to celebrate the fifth anniversary of China-Kiribati diplomatic relations, and exhibitions on the cultural heritage of Pacific Island countries, international sister cities, and premium products from Liaocheng. Through these activities, participants will experience the unique customs and cultures across the ocean, fostering mutual understanding and development through cultural exchanges.
