A China (Shandong) - Germany economic and trade cooperation exchange conference was held in Munich, Germany, on Sept 11, with over 200 representatives from the German government, business associations, and Chinese and German enterprises in attendance.

Cui Hongguang, deputy director of the Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, delivered a keynote speech introducing Shandong's high-quality economic and social development. He highlighted the achievements made in cooperation between Shandong province and Bavaria over the past 30 years in trade, investment, and infrastructure development, noting that Germany has become Shandong's largest trading partner and foreign investment source in the EU.

Cui expressed his hope for both sides to expand trade markets, strengthen two-way investment cooperation, promote green energy transformation, and build multi-level cooperation channels.

Representatives from Shandong and German enterprises and business associations also shared their insights, expressing their aspirations to strengthen economic and trade cooperation as well as talent exchange between Shandong and Germany, as well as to carry out more practical projects.

Following the conference, Shandong and German enterprises held bilateral talks, reaching a series of trade and investment cooperation agreements in areas such as green low-carbon technologies, complete sets of equipment, supply chain cooperation, overseas warehouse construction, and the promotion of traditional Chinese medicine.
