The National Event on World Cities Day will be held in Weihai from Oct 25 to 28.

This year's event will be jointly hosted by China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, and the Shandong Provincial People's Government. With the theme of "Building cities for people, sharing a better life together," the event will feature urban cultural exchanges, high-level forums on global urban sustainable development, and multi-themed exhibitions.

With a global perspective, international standards, and Chinese characteristics, the event aims to tell the story of China's sustainable urban development to the world and showcase the achievements of Weihai's refined urban development.

The themed exhibition of 33,000 square meters will have three main halls displaying urban development cases, innovations in construction, life in the future, Weihai's famous enterprises and products, and the happiness of the people.
