The Chinese Manufacturing Enterprises Association has recently unveiled the top 200 Chinese manufacturers in terms of comprehensive strength for 2024.

A total of 24 Shandong-based companies made the cut, trailing only Zhejiang province's 35, but beating out Guangdong and Jiangsu with 23 and 18 companies, respectively.

Notable Shandong companies on the list include the Weiqiao Pioneering Group, the Haier Group, the Luhua Group, and the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group.

The robust performance of Shandong's manufacturing sector underscores the province's commitment to high-quality development. As a manufacturing powerhouse, Shandong has been revamping its traditional industries, fostering emerging industries, and laying the groundwork for future industries.

These efforts aim to drive the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing sector and accelerate the construction of an advanced manufacturing province.

To compile the list, the Chinese Manufacturing Enterprises Association conducted a comprehensive assessment of over 8,000 Chinese manufacturing enterprises. The evaluation was based on multiple criteria, including operating revenue, total assets, profit, owner's equity, research and development investment, and number of employees. An expert panel of business executives, academics, and government officials participated in the selection process to ensure the list's credibility and objectivity.
