Mount Tai Spirit to Inspire the World - A "Four in one" Innovative Educational Practice at the World Heritage Site of Mount Tai (China) was awarded the Star of Discovery of the 2024 Global World Heritage Education Innovative Cases (AWHEIC) at the 46th session of the World Heritage Committee, which concluded in New Delhi, India on July 31.

Organized by the World Heritage Institute of Training and Research for the Asia and Pacific Region under UNESCO, the AWHEIC aims to establish an international platform for sharing and developing innovative educational models centered on world heritage. 

The "Star of Discovery" award recognizes exceptional cases that explore deeper values and models of heritage education, demonstrating adaptability, collaborative innovation, and broad, lasting impact.

The award-winning case represents a significant advancement in the creative transformation and innovative development of culture. It fosters a comprehensive educational system designed to inspire global youth to understand and appreciate the spirit of Mount Tai. 

As the first case from Shandong to receive this prestigious award, it has played a crucial role in showcasing Mount Tai as a premier example of world cultural and natural heritage conservation, innovative development, and international recognition. It has also significantly contributed to the Yellow River Basin's high-quality cultural, economic, and social development.

The Shandong Mount Taishan Cultural Research Institute is the applicant behind the award-winning case.
