Zhang Xiping, Professor at the Beijing Foreign Studies University and Chief Editor of International Sinology, shared his insights into Confucius thought during an interview at the 10th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations on July 11. He said that he believes Confucius' philosophy provides a way for people to find their place and purpose in the world, which is invaluable in modern society. 

The forum, held from July 10 to 11 in Qufu, the hometown of Confucius, attracted 700 guests, including nearly 400 international guests from 63 countries, to discuss topics such as traditional cultures and modern civilizations, cultural exchanges and mutual learning amid global challenges, and Chinese and Western styles of modernization.
