Conference held in Hong Kong to strengthen cooperation

The Yantai-Hong Kong Cooperation Conference on Green, Low Carbon and Tech Finance convened on May 26 in Hong Kong, bringing together representatives from renowned Hong Kong enterprises, financial institutions, and business associations, as well as Yantai city officials and media representatives.

Yantai Mayor Zheng Deyan highlighted the city's remarkable progress in fostering green, low-carbon development and accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system.

He emphasized Yantai's long-standing economic and trade cooperation with Hong Kong, characterized by frequent cultural exchanges and increasingly close ties.

To date, Hong Kong has established over 4,100 investment projects in Yantai, contributing significantly to the city's economic growth and diversification.

Zheng expressed Yantai's commitment to deepening collaboration with Hong Kong in areas such as clean energy, manufacturing, and urban construction. Yantai welcomes Hong Kong enterprises and investment institutions to explore opportunities in the city.

At the conference, 14 new cooperation agreements were signed, encompassing key industries such as clean energy, petrochemicals, new chemical materials, and biomedicine. Total investment of these projects amounts to 23 billion yuan ($3.17 billion), demonstrating the strong confidence and commitment of both parties to deepening their economic collaboration.
