The unveiling ceremony of the Malaysia — Luban-Mozi Training Centre (CSCEC), jointly established by the Zibo Vocational Institute, Malaysia's Sunway College and the China State Construction Engineering Corp (CSCEC), was held at Sunway College in Malaysia on April 23.
The ceremony showcased the outstanding achievements of Sunway College and demonstrated the deep friendship and strong prospects for educational cooperation between China and Malaysia.
Lee Sze Wei, president of Sunway College, said that Sunway College has long been committed to cultural and educational exchanges with Chinese institutions and looks forward to nurturing more talent with international perspectives and an innovative spirit in Malaysia, promoting strengthened school-enterprise cooperation and facilitating lifelong pathways for employment in both China and Malaysia.
In his speech, Dato' Goh Hin San, president of the Han Culture Centre Malaysia, noted that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, and that economic, cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries have been frequent. The establishment of the center injects vitality into Malaysia's education sector and contributes new strength to Malaysia's socio-economic development.
Shi Xiaoguang, deputy general manager of the Malaysian branch of CSCEC, said the company has constructed a number of landmark projects in Malaysia and aims to cultivate versatile talent with technical skills and Chinese language proficiency.
Liu Wei, Party secretary of Zibo Vocational Institute, said that the establishment of the center will promote practical cooperation in various fields between the institute and Sunway College, strengthening people-to-people exchanges and China-Malaysia friendship.
After the unveiling ceremony, the three parties reached a consensus on issues such as talent cultivation, faculty training and technological enhancement.
