Yantai awarded global honor for growing wine tourism culture

The first Global Wine Tourism Summit was recently held in the renowned Uruguayan tourist city of Punta del Este, and Yantai in Shandong province was recognized as the "Most Promising Emerging Quality Wine Tourism Destination in the World".
Yantai also received the baton from Punta del Este, meaning it will host the Second Global Wine Tourism Summit in 2025. This is a major step by Yantai's wine tourism culture toward the international stage.
The summit was jointly organized by the Global Wine Tourism Organization, the Ministry of Tourism of Uruguay, and the government of Maldonado province, Uruguay. More than 380 representatives from 16 countries, including China, France, Spain, Chile, Russia, Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico participated. The summit was rich in content, featuring wine culture and tourism exhibitions, opening and closing ceremonies, sub-forums, and business matchmaking. Eighty guests delivered speeches, gave remarks, shared experiences, promoted their products, introduced cases, and released survey reports, fully showcasing their unique charm and achievements in the field of wine tourism.
At the summit, representatives from Yantai delivered speeches on the city's rich culture and tourism attractions and the city's long history in developing wine. They also shared typical cases of wine tourism in Yantai, presenting the unique charm of Yantai's wine tourism to a global audience.
