Weihai Vocational College hosts Korean winter camp

Weihai Vocational College recently welcomed 22 teachers and students from Seoul Electrical Industry High School for a two-week winter camp featuring learning Chinese culture and electrical technology. The initiative marked the fruition of a partnership agreement signed during a visit by the college president, Xu Donghui, to South Korea.

During the opening ceremony, Lee Chang-ho, the chairman of the China-Korea Exchange Promotion Committee, delivered the inaugural class. The Korean delegation, including the school superintendent and administrative office director, engaged in immersive experiences, exploring the campus by a mini train and expressing keen interest in various facilities.

The research activities encompassed dynamic projects such as 3D printing, industrial robots, and intelligent production lines. Additionally, students delved into the basics of the Chinese language and experienced traditional cultural activities.

Beyond campus, the program included visits to the city hall, hands-on pastry-making experiences, and an exploration of the scenic area on Shidao island. Furthermore, students gained insights into Weihai's cutting-edge industries and technological advancements through visits to high-tech enterprises and science and technology museums.

Expressing satisfaction, the Korean delegation praised the camp's success and the engaging and relevant courses offered. Looking ahead, both institutions aim to deepen their collaboration, furthering international educational initiatives and enriching the global exchange experience for students.

This collaborative endeavor signifies a significant step towards fostering cross-cultural understanding and enhancing educational cooperation between Weihai Vocational College and Seoul Electrical Industry High School.
