To boost winter tourism in Shandong, Dongping county in Tai'an has planned various themed rural cultural tourism events for the upcoming Spring Festival holiday.

Visitors are recommended to tour Dasong Everbright City, where they can learn more about the culture of the Song Dynasty (960-1279). 

The Baifo Mountain Scenic Area is hosting a lantern event that will run until March 11.

Daicun Dam Museum is another travel destination not to be missed. Here, visitors can find out more about the history and designs of the dam through artifacts, models, and images that explain how modern technology can improve the dam's functionality. 

Those visiting Dongping should not miss the local delicacies like Dongping porridge and fish hotpot.
