Over 20 international students from the School of International Education at Shandong University of Technology visited the Qimin Yaoshu Sauce Culture Experience Museum in Zibo, Shandong province on Oct 7.

During their visit, they immersed themselves in the world of traditional Chinese sauces and vinegar culture and learned about ancient brewing techniques.

Traditional Chinese cuisine has a rich and diverse array of seasonings known for their refined flavors.

The foreign students began their culinary journey at the Taste Hall and gained insights into the meticulous process of producing soy sauce from soybeans at the Museum's Intelligence Center. They could scan QR codes on product bottles that allowed them to learn about the entire production journey, and how the beans were harvested in the fields before being turned into sauce found on dining tables.

"Here, you can savor ice cream infused with soy sauce and vinegar. It's a delightful blend of sourness, sweetness. It's truly remarkable,” said Skina, a Russian student who was part of the tour.
