UZ Truck and Bus Motors is a joint venture established by Sinotruk, one of China's major heavy-duty truck manufacturers, and Germany's MAN Truck & Bus SE.
The two sides signed a joint venture agreement for UZ Truck and Bus Motors to be based at JV MAN Auto's Uzbekistan plant, and Sinotruk became one of the shareholders of the JV MAN Auto-Uzbekistan JV, having injected 10.78 million euros (about $11.56 million) in foreign direct investment into the plant.
UZ Truck and Bus Motors has a production capacity of about 3,000 units of commercial vehicles per year, having mastered the production of new models and the localization of components.
It has become Sinotruk's commercial vehicle production base to serve the Central Asian market.

Since 2018, Sinotruk has seized the opportunities brought by Uzbekistan's reform and opening up, developed adaptive products for the country, and continuously promoted localized production.
From January to July, it sold 2,290 heavy trucks in Uzbekistan. Its market share exceeded 50 percent, ranking it first among heavy truck makers in the country.
