The Forum on Youth Entrepreneurs Empowering High-Quality Development took place in Jinan, Shandong province on July 26.

The forum attracted more than 500 representatives, including local officials as well as members of the Shandong Young Entrepreneurs Association. Zeng Zanrong, deputy governor of Shandong, and Xu Huaping, executive vice-chairman of the China Youth Entrepreneurs Association, attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches.

Zeng said that Shandong has taken steps to construct a modern socialist province and its economic development has been steadily gathering pace, providing a fertile soil for enterprises to deepen cooperation and achieve mutual benefits in the future.

He added the province will strive to build a pilot zone for green, low-carbon and high-quality development, support enterprises with favorable policies, boost market vitality and optimize the layout of advantageous industries, projects and high-end institutions.

"Young entrepreneurs should grasp the trends, be courageous in exploring and forging ahead and demonstrate greater achievements," Zeng said.

Xu said in his speech that the Shandong Young Entrepreneurs Association has promoted the innovative development of youth entrepreneurship and improved its cohesion, service capacity and influence.

During the forum, Liu Fengjie, the newly elected president of the Shandong Young Entrepreneurs Association and chairman of Keda Group, and Liu Jiyong, honorary chairman of the Shandong Young Entrepreneurs Association and general manager of the Inspur Group, gave speeches. The Qilu Building for Youth Entrepreneurship was also unveiled and seven provincial departments jointly established the Shandong Youth Entrepreneur Service Group were inaugurated.
