The Global Gen Zer Dialogue with Shandong was held in Jinan, East China's Shandong province, on July 7, with more than 200 young people from home and abroad participating in the event.

Xi Yanchun, head of the Information Office of the Shandong Provincial People's Government, invited young people from home and abroad to Shandong and get an unforgettable and unique experience exploring the mesmerizing delights of the province.

Wang Hao, deputy editor-in-chief of China Daily, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the event. He said young people are playing a driving force in deepening exchanges and mutual learning with other civilizations, better telling the stories of China's fine traditional culture and better presenting Chinese culture to the world.
Wang encouraged all young people to enhance understanding and cognition of fine traditional Chinese culture and Chinese modernization.
The youth attending the event embarked on a tour to many cities in Shandong, and appreciated the province's splendid natural sceneries and rich cultural heritage, as well as its rapid technological development.
This year's event was organized by the Information Office of the Shandong Provincial People's Government and China Daily. Running under the theme of "New era, new civilization, new youth, and new mission", the activity aimed to build a platform for the world's youth to learn from each other and grow together, and set to contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
