Yantai promotes educational exchanges with South Korea

Print PrintThe launch ceremony of the China Liaison Office of the International Business Top Program Alumni Association of Sogang University and the Yantai Huang-Bohai New Area-South Korea Friendship and Cooperation Promotion Meeting was held in Yantai, Shandong province on June 23.
The event gathered more than 50 experts, scholars and well-known alumni who discussed ways to cooperate in various fields.
During the event, the Huang-Bohai New Area and Sogang University reached an agreement to cultivate more international professionals and boost talent exchange between China and South Korea.
Local officials delivered speeches, expressing their expectations in strengthening cooperation with Sogang University in talent and education and turning the Huang-Bohai New Area into a benchmark for industrial and technological cooperation and a bridgehead for South Korean companies to enter China.
Sogang University said it is now planning to specially customize courses for students from Yantai. The university noted that the establishment of the liaison office will make the registration process for Yantai students more convenient.
"The program at Sogang University is aimed at senior managers and cultivating elites in related fields. The Huang-Bohai New Area has a strong industrial foundation and is home to many well-known companies. Establishing cooperation with the area is of great significance to us," said professor You Sunki from Sogang University, adding that he hopes the liaison office will broaden channels for senior executives from the area to study in South Korea.
Sogang University offers 33 majors, with its business administration and economics courses ranking among the top in South Korea.
