The event successfully opened a new chapter for disseminating Yellow River culture on the global stage.
Xi Yanchun, head of the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government, said during the forum that the Yellow River is the mother river of China and that its culture is the root and soul of the Chinese nation.
"Carrying forward the Yellow River culture and telling stories nurtured by the Yellow River in better ways are historical missions and tasks in modern times. Today, we gather at the estuary of the Yellow River to share the historical mission and jointly open a splendid chapter for the international dissemination of Yellow River culture," Xi said.

The Yellow River begins on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and rushes eastward into the sea. As an age-old witness to the profound history of China over thousands of years, it has served as a cradle for Chinese civilization over generations.
Shandong, where the Yellow River meets the sea, boasts abundant cultural resources. The province has taken the lead in promoting ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, enhancing Yellow River culture, as well as telling stories nurtured by the Yellow River in better ways.
Shandong is bolstering cultural tourism by building the cultural experience corridor along the Yellow River and the Yellow River National Cultural Park, launching exhibitions on handmade crafts, as well as creating the "Friendly Shandong" brand.

The province is also spreading Yellow River culture on the global stage by holding events like the Nishan Forum on World Civilization and establishing international sister-city relationships.
Another key measure for Shandong to vitalize Yellow River culture is launching diverse activities. Those include the Yellow River Culture Conference, "Meeting the Sea along the Yellow River" promotion event, and a digital culture application development conference to empower the cultural industry.
Shandong also promotes the Yellow River through a multichannel approach. The province has made a documentary recording the natural landscapes, humanistic beauty, and life along the Yellow River, carried out travel-themed interviews on the cultural heritage and regional development along the Yellow River, as well as focused on practicing high-quality development to interpret the Chinese-style modernization from multiple angles.
