Shandong trade promotion sector, foreign institutions boost ties

The Shandong trade promotion exchange meeting with foreign organizations in China was held online on Dec 7 to boost cooperation and facilitate trade.

Representatives from 35 foreign embassies and consulates, trade promotion agencies and business associations from 15 countries including Japan, the Republic of Korea, Israel, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Serbia, Australia, and Canada attended the event, and had in-depth talks with representatives from 18 Shandong provincial research institutions, industry associations and trade promotion organizations.

The event aims to build an institutional exchange platform for promoting understanding, work docking and boosting cooperation between Shandong province and overseas institutions in China, and help Shandong open up to the outside world at a high level.

A total of 107 key projects were promoted during the event, covering medical care and health, intelligent manufacturing, modern agriculture, biomedicine, green and low-carbon development, cultural tourism, clean energy and other fields.

The event, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shandong Sub-council, has been held seven times since 2016, and focuses on stimulating cooperation potential and vitality with foreign business organizations in China.
