Changyu, as a leading enterprise in the domestic wine industry, has applied digital management systems to planting, production, sales, and management in the wine industry and has implemented effective anti-counterfeiting traceability for products.

It has digitalized its wine-making factory, and improved the traditional wine-making technique by setting up the first digital control system of pot distillation in the nation to monitor the parameter in real time.

In October 2020, Changyu and Tencent jointly developed China's first blockchain platform for the wine industry.

As a traditional consumption industry, the wine industry faces fierce competition in both domestic and international markets.

"Using blockchain technology can help reduce counterfeiting, improve customer trust, and aid in the development of reliable wine brands," said Ma Bin, vice-president of Tencent Group.

The China Wine Digital Research Institute was launched in Yantai in April in 2021. Changyu, COFCO Great Wall, Grand Dragon, Dynasty, and Moutai Wine joined the institute as its first wine companies.

The institute will take advantage of digital technology to drive the high-quality development of the Chinese wine industry, said Sun Jian, general manager of Changyu Group.
