Fourteen foreign students in Tai'an, Shandong province participated in an event to celebrate the approaching Dragon Boat Festival, which falls on June 3 this year.

During the event, they experienced farming and picking, made rice dumplings, and learned about unique Chinese folk arts, such as making dough sculptures and root carving.

"Since I came to Tai'an last year, I fell in love with this place. I like the people, culture, scenery, and especially the Mount Tai," said a student from Cameroon.

Another student from Tanzania made a rose during the dough sculpture activity and was impressed by the charming traditional Chinese culture.

"My teacher has helped me and other students to create rice dumplings for Dragon Boat Festival every year since I came to study in China," said a student from Bangladesh who has been in Tai'an for over two years.
