Shandong reduces ticket prices for 4 months at State-owned scenic spots

Shandong has allocated funds of 30 million yuan ($4.48 million) to support the province's State-owned A-level tourist attractions and carry out a four-month ticket reduction activity, so as to boost the consumption of culture and tourism sector, which was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Finance Department issued a number of policies with other departments to promote the recovery of culture and tourism industries through financial support and consumption subsidies.

A total of 80 million yuan will be allocated to support the development of rural tourism. The funds will mainly be used for the construction of key rural tourism villages, scenic villages and rural homestay cluster areas. A series of rural tourism promotional activities will also be launched.

In addition, the province's financial institutions are encouraged to innovate products and services to support the development of cultural and tourism enterprises. Loans of more than 10 billion yuan will be increased during the year to support the construction of culture and tourism projects.
