Embracing cherry harvest season in Jinan village

In May, as the cherry harvest season begins, Baiyanquan village in Pingyin county, Jinan, becomes a hotspot for people who come to pick and eat fresh cherries.

With flowing spring water and a high-quality ecological environment, Baiyanquan village is ideal for cherry farming. Visitors and merchants alike enjoy the colorful, delicious, and juicy cherries grown here.

Baiyanquan began cultivating cherries in in 2011. The village has established cherry planting cooperatives and rural tourism cooperatives, as well as developed agricultural sightseeing tourism, with the help of poverty alleviation policies.

The cherry industry is now booming in Baiyanquan. The village has a cherry planting area of 1,200 mu (80 hectares), and the cherry industry has become a cornerstone industry in the village.
