Qingzhou in Shandong province has been promoting the characteristic cultivation of succulent plants.

Adopting the method of "plantation bases + cooperatives + farmers", the city is promoting succulent sales via both online and offline channels to help the transformation of local agricultural industries and increase farmers' incomes.

At present, more than 500 enterprises and households in Qingzhou are involved in the succulent plant business, providing more than 3,000 varieties of succulents.

The city produces more than 800 million succulents in a year and has an annual output value of 2 billion yuan ($314.2 million), accounting for more than half of the total succulent plant sales market in the country.
