A host of products made by companies in Zibo city – located in East China's Shandong province – currently serve and shine at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

A 22 ultra-clear glass-paneled exterior wall – called "ice ribbons" and covering the National Speed Skating Oval – was supplied by the Jinjing Group, a new materials manufacturer located in the Boshan district of Zibo.

Elsewhere, Shandong Guiyuan Advanced Ceramic Co Ltd (Sicer) designed drinking cups being used at various facilities at Beijing 2022, using snowflakes as decorative elements, echoing the opening ceremony of the games.

Meanwhile, Zibo resident firm Hicyan Ceramics Ltd customized cultural gifts for the grand tournament.

"We started the designs last summer. It is a practice for Zibo to use ceramics as a vivid medium to help spread Chinese culture," said general manager Huang Shaochen.

Inside China's Olympic Village, medical companies from Zibo have also provided medical-grade nitrile gloves, disposable disinfectant, automated external defibrillators, among other things.

Moreover, all-terrain vehicles made in Zibo are providing strong support for the competition and the safety rescue capabilities of the event.

In addition, Zibo's companies have provided solutions for prefabricated buildings for the non-registered VIP reception center at the Winter Olympics.
