East China's Shandong province launched a special event on Jan 25 to promote the protection and inheritance of the province's intangible cultural heritages, and the event will last until March.

Operating under the theme of "Intangible cultural heritage makes life better," the event is presenting a series of activities in the form of exhibitions, live streams and temple fairs via online and offline channels, aiming to create a colorful, peaceful and festive atmosphere for visitors and locals alike.

An activity featuring on the intangible cultural heritage was held at the opening ceremony in the meantime, showcasing people the abundant cultural resources along the Yellow River. A livestreaming broadcast is being held by the local government to display the rich and traditional customs in the form of short live videos.

Visitors also have the opportunity to get a closer look at the cultural and creative tiger-themed products via online channels. The provincial cultural center will organize a painting exhibition that displays paintings of social and economic achievements the country has made over past decades.

On top of that, Zhucheng city will launch an online Spring Festival shopping gala, and a grand temple fair will be hosted in Taierzhuang ancient town, offering a perfect opportunity for visitors to experience traditional culture and local folk customs.
