Shandong hosted an online business promotional event with Switzerland on Jan 21 to boost mutual economic collaboration amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Shandong-Switzerland Online Project Matching Meeting, part of the "Select Shandong" cloud roadshows for international economic and trade cooperation, was hosted by the Shandong International Investment Promotion Center, the Biz Switzerland, and the Shandong Internet Media Group on Jan 21.

Enterprises from Switzerland and the Shandong cities of Yantai and Zibo promoted their products, technologies, production capacity and potential areas for future cooperation at the meeting.

"Shandong attaches great importance to economic and trade cooperation with Switzerland. Over the years, the two sides have maintained sound and stable economic and trade relations," said Jin Xiaofeng, director of the Shandong International Investment Promotion Center, in his speech.

Kevin Mckenzie, honorary chairman of Biz Switzerland, said in a video address that there are many cooperation opportunities between Switzerland and Shandong in the pharmaceutical, medical, machinery and equipment industries. He expects Swiss enterprises to find suitable partners through cloud communication.
