More than 20,000 red lanterns are hung up across the World's Best Spring Scenic Area, a popular attraction in Jinan, Shandong province to welcome the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, which falls on Feb 1 this year.

It is a Chinese custom to put up red lanterns during the Spring Festival as they symbolize family reunion, happiness, and prosperity.

The World's Best Spring Scenic Area is a national 5A attraction, presenting a distinctive natural spring scenery. It covers Baotu Spring Park, Daming Lake Park, Black Tiger Spring Park, Five Dragon Pool Park and the city moat.
