Heze in Shandong province will be connected to the high-speed railway system, as the Qufu-Heze-Zhuangzhai section of the Southern Shandong High-speed Rail will open to traffic on Dec 26.

With a total length of 198.6 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 km/h, the Qufu-Heze-Zhuangzhai section has seven stations including Qufu South Station, Yanzhou South Station, Jining North Station, Jiaxiang North Station, Juye North Station, Heze East Station and Zhuangzhai Station.

The high-speed railway has the largest investment amount and the longest mileage in Shandong, making the Southern Shandong High-speed Railway very important for boosting the regional development in southern Shandong province. Its Rizhao-Linyi-Qufu section has been completed and opened to traffic at the end of 2019.
