Dongying to develop sister-city ties with Gujranwala, Pakistan

Gujranwala is a city and capital of Gujranwala Division located in Punjab, Pakistan. It is an important industrial city in Pakistan and the fifth most populous city in the country. It is well developed in industry and commerce, and has branches of several well-known universities. It is only 68 kilometers from Sialkot International Airport.
Punjab, Pakistan's most populous province, established friendly relations with Shandong province in 2009.
Dongying is a central city in the Yellow River Delta, the estuary of the Yellow River, the mother river of China, and the hometown of Sun Wu, an ancient militarist. It is a major node city along the Bohai Rim region and a city that is developing in a coordinated way with Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The city is home to the Shengli Oilfield, which is the second largest oilfield in China after the Daqing oilfield. Dongying is developing into a modern eco-city by keeping its wetlands clean while continuing to promote economic development.
Dongying and Gujranwala will carry out in-depth cooperation in agriculture, textiles, the economy and trade, promote the common economic and social development of both sides, and promote friendly relations between the two cities.
