Shandong to optimize supply of human resource services

Shandong will deepen the supply-side structural reform of human resource services, promote the high-quality development of this sector, and encourage the development of foreign human resource service institutions in Shandong during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), said local authorities.

The Shandong government recently launched a development plan for the human resource services industry for the coming five years.

According to the plan, Shandong will support human resource service institutions to develop training courses in rural areas, and train more experts and technicians in modern agriculture.

Human resource service institutions are encouraged to provide precise professional services centered on the upgrading of the manufacturing industrial base and modernization of the industrial chain.

Measures will be launched to attract foreign human resource service institutions to develop in Shandong, and support the "going-out" of local human resource service institutions.

In 2020, Shandong's human resource service industry had 96,000 employees and a value of 98.7 billion yuan ($15.45 billion), both 2.7 times higher than the figures at the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan period (2011-15).

By 2025, Shandong's human resource service industry is expected to generate 200 billion yuan in revenue and have more than 10,000 human resource institutions.
